Frequently asked questions

Quick answers before you start.

Is it free?

Yes. There is nothing to install or sign up for.

What file do I get?

A WebM video at 1280×720. It plays in most browsers and video players, and most editors can import it. If you need MP4, any free online converter will do it.

Is my text uploaded anywhere?

No. Your text is rendered and recorded locally in your browser.

How long does recording take?

It is recorded in real time, so it takes as long as the credits last. Use the speed slider to make them shorter or longer.

Can I add music?

Yes. Pick a built-in track (generated in your browser, so it is royalty-free) or upload your own song. Only use music you have the rights to.

Why can’t I record?

Video recording needs a modern desktop browser such as Chrome, Edge or Firefox. You can still use the live preview everywhere.
